Child Protective Services Investigations

Indian Child Welfare Act Qualified

 

Qualified in Indian Child Welfare Act Federal Laws and Statutes.

 

Worked closely with foster home agencies on and off the reservations to provide culturally appropriate services for children the welfare system.

 

Assisted the Bureau of Indian Affairs in verifying Native American Heritage of children and families.

 

Worked closely with Indian Social Services Agencies on reservations to provide proper support and aid for children and families.

 

Worked closely with Tribal Representatives to improve the working relationship between Child Protective Services and the Tribes.

 

Worked closely with Domestic Violence agencies to develop culturally acceptable safety plans sensitive to Native American women and their protective needs on reservations.

Helped the Academy for Professional Development at SDSU as part of the Native Unit to ensure proper social worker training when dealing with Native Culture.
